Your privacy is important to us. This privacy statement discloses what information we gather and how we use it. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

This section provides information about the type of information that we collect and methods and tools for doing so.

Comments on Posts
Currently, new commenting is turned off for this site and we do not have membership or registered site users. Therefore, we are not actively collecting personal data such as names and email addresses. However, we have personal information on file related to previously submitted comments. If you submitted a public comment on a post, you provided your name and email address and that is retained in our records indefinitely along with related information. For all comments on the site, we collected the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. The comment itself is public but the personal data is not.

When comments were activated, we used the Akismet plugin to manage and block comment SPAM. All comments were processed through Akismet. To review their privacy policy, see the Automattic privacy policy specific to Akismet. Keep in mind that this site (Allconcussion.com) is currently not accepting public comments for posts and is therefore not using Akismet, but did so previously.

Prior to mid-2014, this site was known as FightingPCS.com, so some comments may have been submitted under that domain. All information was transferred to AllConcussion.com when the site rebranded in 2014. Ownership and management of the site did not change when the rebranding occurred.

Inquiries via the Contact Page

We use Gravity Forms for our Contact page. Information submitted includes the submitter’s name and email address. The form content is stored in a database. The information provided is used for administrative purposes only and is not shared outside of those individuals tasked with management of this website. Currently, that is one person. If in the future this number expands, only those granted appropriate access permissions would have access to the personal data. Responses to inquiries always include the original inquiry so the submitter can see what we received.

If we have corresponded with someone based on an inquiry via the Contact form on this site, we may request additional permission to share information. This is on a case-by-case basis and information is not shared without the additional permissions.

Site Analytics

We use Google Analytics for site usage analysis and content planning. Google Analytics uses cookies to track visits, including but not limited to visitor location, browser used, device used to access the website, and pages visited.

Server Logs

As with many websites, information of each visit to this site is collected in server logs. On this site, such information includes general items such as browser used, operating system used, pages visited, time of day visited, day of the week visited, and length of visit. We use this information for site usage analysis, maintenance, and content planning purposes. Personally identifiable information of individual visitors is not used for these purposes.

The information we collect is disclosed when legally required to do so, at the request of governmental authorities conducting an investigation, to verify or enforce compliance with the policies governing our website and applicable laws, or to protect against misuse or unauthorized use of our website, to a successor entity in connection with a corporate merger, consolidation, sale of assets or other corporate change respecting the website.

Embedded Content from Other Websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Use of Cookies

This site uses WordPress, which stores cookies on your computer if you comment on a blog entry. The cookies include your name, e-mail address, and URL. For more information, see the WordPress.org website section on use of cookies with regard to commentators.

With respect to ad servers: to try and bring you offers that are of interest to you, we may at various times have relationships with other companies that we allow to place ads on our web pages. As a result of your visit to our site, ad server companies may collect information such as your domain type, your IP address and clickstream information. For further information, consult the privacy policies of the advertisers.

You can remove existing cookies from your computer. For information on how to delete cookies, see the Help documentation in the browser you use for accessing the Internet.

What rights you have over your data

If you left a comment on a blog post on this site, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

How we protect your data

We employ various methods to maintain security of this website.
